Meet Olivia

CF Level 1

My love for fitness began in high school when I joined the club rowing team. I threw myself into the sport and rowed during parts of high school and university. Towards the end of my college career I tried different activities, from rock climbing to running. I eventually began racing in Spartan obstacle courses and working with a trainer for these races specifically. Despite the physical and mental challenges that these workouts provided, I couldn't find the supportive community that I needed. I contacted Wendy in August 2020 to try CrossFit for the first time, and I was hooked after the first class. I found even more opportunities to challenge myself with the CrossFit workouts, and I found some of the best people in the coaches and fellow members. The CFS community is easily the most supportive group of people I have met, both inside and outside the gym. I earned my Level 1 online certification and began coaching in April 2021. In 2018 I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Chemistry, and Anthropology. For this degree I studied anatomy and physiology, metabolism, and nutrition. After graduation I worked in multiple laboratories, studying genetics and metabolism. Now I am applying to medical schools with the goal of becoming a physician for rural and underserved populations. I am passionate about working with people and their health, and I believe improving one's fitness is an excellent preventative measure against disease and aging. So I am thrilled to be working as a CrossFit coach to help others prioritize their health and well-being!
